Yoga School

For people who want to learn more about yoga but don't want to take a 200hr course, this if for you!

A four 'foundations' classes you can take at your own pace, regular 'exploration' workshops, and a community of like minded individuals!

Here, we redefine balance not as a steady state but as a dynamic interplay of strength, flexibility, and resilience. Through laughter and lightheartedness, we discover that imperfection is not just accepted but cherished as an essential ingredient in the recipe for growth and self-discovery. So, let go of perfectionism, dive into the adventure of each pose, and revel in the joy of finding your balance, one fall at a time.

About Me

I think I took my very first yoga class in 2014, and honestly, I hated it - I didn't like the teacher, I didn't like the style, I felt out of place and incredibly uncomfortable. For some reason though, I keep trying new teachers and workshops every few months or so and in the end of 2015 I found a teacher I loved, a style that worked for me, and a community of people I wanted to hang out with and learn from and became obsessed.

Cut to 2017 - I'm volunteering and working reception at my local yoga studio, I'm president of my university's yoga society, I'm going to classes multiple times a week and having a daily practice, and I just can't. get. enough. So I start an extended YTT (yoga teacher training) to fully immerse myself in yoga and just learn more about the practice, and I left feeling exciting about teaching and with a head full of ideas.

Life happened - I wasn't able to realise those ideas (or even keep up with a regular practice), and a lot of other things changes, including a significant increase in my weight, a better understanding of myself, and a global pandemic.

Back to present day and I'm back to yoga again, excited to make those old ideas a reality, and coming in with a whole new perspective. I'll be blogging and posting videos about doing yoga as a fat person, dealing with intense burnout, the neurodivergent experience, and so on, as well as posting about whatever else I'm doing because I want to. No pressure, just being a complicated and messy chaos goblin - and who cares if I fall over?
